Sage Bank Feeds(Banking Cloud): This Sage Bank Feed Account requires authorization of Bank Account credentials
Description

The message to authorise your banking credentials occurs when the request cannot be completed as the banking site requires you to verify your personal information.

Banks will require you to regularly maintain up-to-date personal information and passwords for security purposes. This can also occur frequently when banks make use of MFA(multi-factor authentication) via a bank mobile app, OTP or token.

The need to authorise can also occur if the Banking Site has made security updates or changes that require user intervention or confirmation.

You may encounter the message "This Sage Bank Feed Account requires authorization of Bank Account credentials"

  • It is a standard message that appears when authentication of a bank account has failed to link.

  • To resolve this, please navigate in Sage to Banking > Transactions > Manage Bank Feeds

  • Click on Update Login Details and re-enter your online banking login credentials. Please ensure you accept the authentication request from your bank.

  • Click on Save to update any changes made.

Note: At times, when updating login details, the browser pop-up blocker may not allow for the screen to load. If this occurs allow the pop-up and continue.

Should the message to reauthorize your bank feed continue

Log in to your online banking profile (on your banking website) and ensure that no additional screens appear between logging in and getting to the transactions of your account. These screens could be new terms and conditions you may need to accept, information that you potentially need to confirm, such as contact details, or it could be a general marketing pop-up. Please ensure that you take action by accepting and closing all of these screens.

Once this is complete, reattempt to Update Login Details on the Sage Bank Feed as detailed above.
