To set a mapped drive as a trusted site, this must be done under the computer's Internet Options (which can be accessed in several ways)

  • Go to the computer's Control Panel
  • Select Internet Options

       This an also be accessed via Internet Explorer

  • Open your Internet Explorer browser
  • Press the F10 button on the keyboard to open the menu at the top.
  • Click on Tools and select Internet Options.

     Follow these steps to make the mapped drive a Trusted Site:

  • Click on the Security tab.
  • Click on Trusted Sites.
  • Ensure "require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone is unticked.
  • Add the mapped letter drive in the section "Add this website to the zone:" and click on Add.
  • The UNC location (e.g. \\server) will reflect in the block onscreen, which is correct.
  • Click Close and Apply, and retry opening the application.
  • You might need to restart the computer if the issue persist, to apply the changes.
