| Set a mapped drive as a trusted site |
Description | Add your mapped network drives as trusted sites in Internet Options for the application to run correctly. This process requires administrative access. |
Resolution | Open Internet Options. -
Open the Control Panel on your computer -
Select Internet Options -
Alternatively, open Internet Explorer -
Press F10 to open the top menu -
Select Tools, then choose Internet Options Add the mapped drive as a trusted site. -
Select the Security tab. -
Click Trusted Sites. -
Select Sites. -
Untick the box Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone. -
In the field Add this website to the zone, type the mapped drive (for example, z:\). -
Click Add. -
The Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path (for example, \\server\payroll) will appear in the list. -
Click Close. -
Select Apply, then OK. Restart the computer (if needed). - If the application still doesn’t open, restart your computer to apply changes
