Backup data for all companies
Description

Sage Payroll Professional automatically creates a backup when you start a new period or tax year. However, you can also create manual backups at any time. 

The steps below allow you to create a backup for all companies in your subscription.

Create a manual backup.

  1. From the Main Menu, select Utilities.
  2. Select Backup.
  3. No other users can access the system while the process runs.
  4. Select the option Data for All Companies.
  5. Review the onscreen notice.

  1. Select Continue.
  2. Enter a unique description for the backup.
  3. Select Continue.
  4. Wait for the confirmation message that the backup was successful.

 NOTE: We store this backup for one month according to the retention policy. Review our Backup retention policy.
