Apply changes to ODBC configuration in Sage VIP
Description

You can apply ODBC changes for these reasons:

  • A new or upgraded computer required ODBC reinstallation
  • An update needs ODBC drivers to reconnect
  • Changes in user permissions
  • Payroll changes require refreshed data links
  • Change the payroll directory to run reports
Cause
Resolution
  1. On your desktop, right-click the application icon.
  2. Select Properties, then select Advanced.
  3. Select Run as Administrator.
  4. Select Apply, then select Close.
  5. Open the Sage VIP application.
  6. Access your company from the Company Listing screen.
  7. From the Main Menu, select Utilities.
  8. Select VIP ODBC Configuration.
  9. Enter your login credentials and click OK.
  10. Review Data Sources and Permissions for all companies.
  11. Click Apply Changes.
  12. When the progress message appears, click OK.
  13. When the completion message appears, click OK.
