Open SQL Server Management Studio

1. Open SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Enter your SQL login credentials.
   • Contact the IT department for credentials if required

Select the database to back up

1. Expand Databases.
2. Select the database you want to back up.
   • The default Sage 300 People database name is People

Start the backup process

1. Right-click the selected database.
2. Select Tasks, then Back Up.
3. Confirm the following:
   • Set the Backup type to Full
   • Set Back up to Disk

Choose the backup location

1. Click Remove, then Add.
2. Click Browse to select the backup location.
3. Enter a backup name.

Complete the backup

1. Click OK to start the backup.
2. A message will confirm if the backup was successful.
3. Click OK, then close SQL Server Management Studio.
