Parameters - Company Management - How to setup/change /view Special Economic Zones
Description

New Special Economic Codes have been promulgated affective 1 August 2018. This entails that employees, regardless of their age my become qualifying employees for ETI purposes if employed by an employer:

  • Operating through a fixed place of business located within a special economic zone (SEZ) designated by notice by the Minister of Finance in the Gazette and that the employee renders services to that employer mainly within that SEZ; or
  • In an industry designated by the Minister of Finance, after consultation with the Minister of Labour and the Minister of Trade and Industry, by notice in the Gazette.

It is the user’s responsibility to setup the correct SEZ code under parameters, and to tick ETI Age Exempt, before linking it to the correct company rule.
