Payroll definitions in Sage 300 People include earnings, deductions, company contributions, fringe benefits, provisions, and additional definitions. The process for adding these definitions is similar across all types. Ensure you select the correct definition type before proceeding.

Access payroll definitions

1. From the Navigation pane, expand Company Management.
2. Double-click Payroll Definitions.
3. Double-click the applicable definition type:
   • Earning Definitions
   • Deduction Definitions
   • Company Contribution Definitions
   • Fringe Benefit Definitions
   • Provision Definitions
   • Additional Definitions

Add a new definition

1. Select the definition type (for example, Earning Definitions).
2. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the required fields.
3. Save the new definition.
