| Description | Windows regional settings control how the date, time, numbers, and currency appear across applications. Correct settings are essential for accurate payroll and reporting in Sage products. |
| Resolution | Step 1: Open regional settings - Click the Start button, search for Control Panel, then select Control Panel.
- Select Region in the Control Panel options.
- The Region dialog box appears.
Step 2: Adjust format settings - Click the Formats tab.
- Click Additional Settings.
- Select the Numbers tab and review/update:
- Decimal symbol: Full stop (.)
- Digit grouping symbol: None
- Negative sign symbol: Minus (-)
- List separator: Comma (,)
- Measurement system: Metric
- Use native digits: Never
- Select the Currency tab and review/update:
- Positive currency: No sign
- Negative currency: minus sign before values (-)
- Decimal symbol: full stop (.)
- Digit grouping symbol: None
- Click Apply.
Step 3: Apply changes - Click OK to save changes.
- The new format applies across Windows and applications.
