Employment Equity: Ensure Access Control is defined
Description

This article is part of the article where we discuss the setup of the Equity Module and provide a checklist. This is Step 5 on the checklist.

Cause
Resolution

Setup the Access Control according to what the relevant user should be able to do with the module.

To access the Advanced Access Control Screens, from the Main Menu:

Click on Company

Click on Access Control

Click on Advanced Access Control

Either add a new user and enter the password, Audit Name and Screen Name, or, if an existing user, just review the access control and ensure they have full permissions on equity.

Advanced Page 4 contains the Equity information.

If you use Global Access Control, The Super User will need to access the Access Control from the Company Listing Screen and review the access for Equity for the respective user(s).

NOTE:  If the user has No Access to Employee Equity Remuneration Information, and “All” Reports are selected for printing, then the EEA4B Report (Income Differentials) will not print because it has been disabled. If “Selected” Reports are printed, then the EEA4B (Income Differentials) Tick Box will be disabled and the user cannot select it. This will allow the user, although he has No Access to Equity Remuneration, to still print the rest of the Equity Report, which only counts employees.
