| | How does the UIF submit file naming convention work? |
| Description | UIF submit file naming convention |
| Resolution | The UIF submission file name is very important. It contains the UIF number of the company followed by an incremental number each period, when the report is run. - Each incremental file extension, basically advises the Department of Labour that a new month of data has been submitted.
- The payroll system increments the file number each time the UIF Submit report is printed.
NOTE: Sage has confirmed the Department of Employment and Labour through the PAGSA, that the file extension, if recycles, will not override the data on their database. The Unemployment Insurance Fund use the month in the file declaration when importing data, and not the file extension - there is thus no risk in overwriting data, when re-using the same file extension. |
