Export a Sage Intelligence report

When you export a report, the export includes everything it needs to run: the container, template, and any union reports.

Steps to export:

  1. Open Sage 50cloud Pastel and log in to your company.
  2. Go to View > Intelligence Reporting > Launch > Report Manager.
  3. Select the report you want to export.
  4. On the Tools tab, select Export Report.
  5. In the Save As window:
    • Choose where to save the file
    • To save as a compressed file, use the default .al_ format
    • To save as an uncompressed file, change the type to .alx
  6. Click Save.
  7. When you see the confirmation message, select OK.

Import a Sage Intelligence report

Importing a report doesn't replace an existing report. If the imported report includes a template file with the same name as an existing one, you must rename it when prompted.

Steps to import:

  1. Open Sage 50cloud Pastel and log in to your company.
  2. Go to View > Intelligence Reporting > Launch > Report Manager.
  3. In Report Manager, right-click the folder where you want to import the report, then select Import Report.
  4. Browse to the file location, select the report, and click Open.
  5. On the Target Connection screen, select Pastel V17 (Auto Connect). This option also applies to version 19.
  6. Select Import.
  7. When prompted to create a new container, select No.
  8. Select OK for all new container names.
  9. When the import completes, select OK.
