Selecting a specific directory for your backups

Resolution

Ensure that you are in the company that you want to backup and do the following:

  1. Click on File, Backup.
  2. The below screen will appear:
  3. The first square right underneath 'Where To Backup To' is the destination of the drive you want to backup to.  If you want to backup this company on the server that you have a mapped network drive to, you can click on the drop down and select it.
  4. The second square is the specific folders wher you will make a backup to, in the above case it will be C:\Payroll\BACKUPS.
  5. You can select to create a New folder by clicking on New Folder.
  6. Enter a New Folder Name.
  7. Click on create.
  8. You will now have a new folder under the directory and your backup will be sent to C:\Payroll\BACKUPS\Demo:
  9. You will click on Process to start the backup process.

NOTE: The little yellow folders will display open, ensuring that the backups will only follow the path of all the open folders.
