| | Resolution | Create a new company - Open Sage 50cloud Pastel.
- Go to File then New.
- Choose where to save the company. For example, the Pastel folder on your C Drive.
- Enter a short name for the company. This is a maximum of eight characters.
- Select Use Setup Assistant then Create.
- Select a country then Next.
- Enter the following information:
| Company Info | Fill in details (you can update later). | | Date Format | Choose your format. | | Period Setup | Set your financial year start date and monthly periods. | | Number of Periods | Leave as 12. | | Chart of Accounts | Choose based on your industry. | | Bank Accounts | Enter how many you need, you can add more at any time. | | Inventory Price Lists | Add descriptions for your price lists: - Partner: 10 price lists
- Xpress: Three price lists
| | Default Terms | Choose how customers pay. For example, 30/60/90 days. | | Customer Defaults | Choose how you allocate payments. The difference between open item and balance forward. | | Document Printing | Choose paper size and style. | - Select Process then Finish.
- Create a password and security question.
- Select OK.
The program will log you in to your new company and the company name will appear in brackets at the top left of the screen. |
