| How do I Uninstall and Reinstall Pervasive Version 10 and higher |
Resolution | Uninstall - Select Start > Control Panel
- Look for Programs and Features
- Right click on Pervasive PSQL v10 or Actian PSQL v13 and select Uninstall
- Close the Control Panel
Installing - Select the link to download Pervasive Version V10 or V13.
- A zipped folder will be downloaded please extract the file before installing.
- Once unzipped open the normal yellow folder
- Depending if you are installing workgroup, server or client, search for setupworkgroup, setupserver, or setupclient (These files are exe files, if you are unsure please ask an IT professional for assistance)
- Double click on the setupxx.exe file
- The installation Wizard will appear, select Next
- Accept the License Agreement and select Next
- Select install as a Service, select Next until you get Install
- For 32 bit applications go to (V10) C:\Program Files (x86)\PVSW\Bin or (V13) C:\Program Files (x86)\Actian\PSQL\bin and look for w3dbsmgr.exe. Allow full permissions on this file
- For 64 bit application go to (V10) C:\Program Files\PVSW\Bin or (V13) C:\Program Files\Actian\PSQL\bin and look for w3dbsmgr.exe. Allow full permissions on this file
NOTE: Once done you will need to refresh the registration again. Registration This process has to be done to ensure that the correct version of pervasive is licensed accordingly and that can only be done by refreshing the registration as per these steps - Open Sage Pastel Accounting.
- Go to Help > Register your Package.
- Select Next, deselect Online Registration.
- Select Next until you get Finish.
