| Adding the Pervasive database and ports to the Windows firewall |
Resolution | Adding the Pervasive Database - Type control in the Windows search and select Control Panel.
- Ensure you set the View by to Large or Small Icons.
- Select Windows Firewall and Advanced Settings.
- Select Inbound Rules and click New Rule.
- Select Program and then This program path.
- Click Browse and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Pervasive Software\PSQL\bin.
- Select w3dbsmgr.exe and click Open.
- Click Next and select Allow the connection.
- Click Next twice and give a name to the rule.
Example, Pervasive database. - Click Finish then select Outbound Rules.
- Follow steps five to nine.
Adding the Pervasive Ports - Type control in the Windows search and select Control Panel.
- Ensure you set the View by to Large or Small Icons.
- Select Windows Firewall and Advanced Settings.
- Select Inbound Rules and click New Rule.
- Click Port then Next.
- Select Specific local ports and enter 3351, 1583.
- Click Next and select Allow the connection.
- Click Next twice and give a name to the rule.
Example, Pervasive ports. - Click Finish then select Outbound Rules.
- Follow steps five to nine.
