Adding the Pervasive Database

  1. Type control in the Windows search and select Control Panel.
  2. Ensure you set the View by to Large or Small Icons.
  3. Select Windows Firewall and Advanced Settings.
  4. Select Inbound Rules and click New Rule.
  5. Select Program and then This program path.
  6. Click Browse and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Pervasive Software\PSQL\bin.
  7. Select w3dbsmgr.exe and click Open.
  8. Click Next and select Allow the connection.
  9. Click Next twice and give a name to the rule.
    Example, Pervasive database.
  10. Click Finish then select Outbound Rules.
  11. Follow steps five to nine.

Adding the Pervasive Ports

  1. Type control in the Windows search and select Control Panel.
  2. Ensure you set the View by to Large or Small Icons.
  3. Select Windows Firewall and Advanced Settings.
  4. Select Inbound Rules and click New Rule.
  5. Click Port then Next.
  6. Select Specific local ports and enter 3351, 1583.
  7. Click Next and select Allow the connection.
  8. Click Next twice and give a name to the rule.

     


    Example, Pervasive ports.
  9. Click Finish then select Outbound Rules.
  10. Follow steps five to nine.
