Rebuild batch quantities

1. From the main menu, select Process, then Count Inventory.
2. When prompted to rebuild batch quantities, select Yes.
3. Select Rebuild Batch Quantities Only.
4. Select Process.
5. Select Finish.

Take an inventory snapshot

The snapshot records your current system quantities as the theoretical quantity for the count.

1. Choose how to order your items:
   • Inventory Code
   • Inventory Category
   • Bin Number
   • Barcode
2. In the From and To fields, select the item range.
3. Choose which items to include:
   • All Items
   • Serial Number Items Only
   • Non-Serialised Items Only
4. Select Next.
5. Select Process.

Enter your physical counts

You can enter counts manually or import them from a text file.

• To enter counts manually: Select Enter or Edit Physical Quantities
• To import counts: Select Import a Text file. See Import inventory quantities for a stock take in Sage 50cloud Pastel

Enter counts manually

1. In the Quantity field, enter the physical count for each item.
2. Press Enter or Tab to move to the next item.
3. Select Proceed.

Review the count variance report

1. Select Print a count variance report. 

   The report shows the difference between your theoretical and physical quantities, the unit cost, and the total cost.

2. Select the Period.

3. Select Next.

4. Select Finish.
